Asian Americans Advancing Justice (Advancing Justice)

AAAJ is a national affiliation of five civil rights nonprofit organizations. We share a common mission to promote a fair and equitable society for all by working for civil and human rights that empower Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders and other underserved communities. Together, we fight anti-Asian hate and discrimination and provide free trainings to equip people with techniques on how to safely intervene when they see or experience anti-Asian harassment.

The original Bystander Intervention training is available and well worth repeating! There is now a second training course available on de-escalation. The training is free. Check the Advancing Justice website and program link for descriptions and updated online training opportunities and date(s). Please note you must register in advance for all trainings; after registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. The training session (one hour on Zoom) will be capped at 1,000 people. Additional sessions will be scheduled. Check for new dates as they are posted.
